Hey. I am wondering which is the best overall car, value, performance, and reliability? The R32 Skyline, Nsx, or Evo viii. Thanks for any help. Chris

Well I guess it depends on where you live. In the US the R32 GTR's are pretty pricey because they have to be imported through MotoRex in California. They have a hell of a lot of mod potential though and a lot of Skyline guys like them the best because they are the lightest of the generations of Skylines. The NSX can be purchased used fairly cheap, but it's normally only cheap for a 10+ year old car. I love the new EVO and for the price you pay for a new Evo you could get a decent used R32 or NSX I guess.

Depends on where you are located and what you plan to do with it and how much you money you have to spend. For this im going to assume you are American or you would be using an R34 Skyline for the same money, and that you will have unlimited tuning money.

If you are after a 1/4 mile monster the R32 is far and away the car to go for out of the three

If you are after a track car it becomes a little more complicated.
For the R32 - Its the lightest of the 3 modern GTR's, but also the ATTESA etc. is the least advanced. It can be made very quick on the track but youll always be left wondering how much better an R33 or R34 would be. Plus if your on long straight American roads you might see the "HICAS wiggle" :fro:
For the NSX - Good handlers to start with, can be made alot better, but mods are expensive and power can only go so far with them.
For the Evo - Being an American spec car you definitely get short changed, the AYC is an integral part of the cars handling, despite what C&D etc. might tell you (Remember being English i know people who own Jap and Euro spec cars with AYC fitted). If i was after a track Evo id go for a RS version, which i dont THINK you are getting.

Out of the 3 id be stuck between the NSX and the R32, but id probably edge towards an NSX if you are buying new, and definitely if you can get a Type-R.

From a road car point of view.
R32 can cover ground quickly and reliability. Interior is abit dated now, but its still reliable, and come on you will be in a car that is rarer than any Ferrari in the USA.
NSX is the useable supercar, but its a supercar, 2 seats etc.
Evo is a nice 4 door 4 seater, but theyre probably getting quite common and arent the fastest in thing in the traffic light race you Americans so dearly love.

Id get the R32 for the rarity factor alone, and they can be modified cheaper and easier than the others.

Hope this helps.

Motorex used to be in Seattle. :( I miss them.
