What's happening fellas?

I haven't been on in a week. I ended up finding a house to live it just before Christmas, so I didn't have to have Christmas in the Cruiser. Ha ha. So that's been nice, after a week of single digit and temps in the teens, it sure is nice having a warm bed.

The morning of the 26th though, I hit a facking deer with my truck though. If I would have hit it in the front, it wouldn't have been a problem. After all, that's what the bull bar is for. But, this stupid friggin deer ran full speed straight on into my front passenger door. It collapsed the door in, then took out the rear passenger door, the fiberglass fender flares, and the rear quarter panel. :banghead: Damn! Now, I don't know when I'm going to find the time to get my truck into a body shop to get the whole mess fixed. That sucks bad. My truck is like my kid, and this is like my kid getting beaten up and sent to the hospital. D'oh!

So, that's the kind of week I've been having, oh yeah and 3 consecutive 13 hour work days. I'm spent.

=( the snorkel truck?

fucking deer.

ksaile
Yeah, the snorkel truck. Good thing is my insurance covers it, bad thing is, that was my "good side" that was pristine. The other side has some minor character marks from wheeling. At least the deer didn't hit that front fender. I definately don't want to have to reinstall that snorkel. That was a nerve racking pain in the arse.

Wow, that sucks. I've found that one such encounter with a deer often turns people who were antihunter into "kill all those F@#$%@^! types... :p

Ah well, on a truck those are just "character" lines. You should come up with some doozy of a 4wheeling story to explain it...or maybe a "yeah, it was when I was in Tibet I found out that those Yeti really don't have much of a sense of humor.."

RedLine
I took out a few deer with my old bull bar. Turned from chrome to red rather quickly. :banghead: How the hell would the deer hit the side of the truck? Wouldnt he/she see it and turn? :?:

I just passed a car and I was going around 70. The deer just came screaming across the road full tilt boogie, I didn't even see it. I just felt and heard it. Imagine a deer running as fast as it could head first into a door. Then add 70mph to the mix to spin the deer and hit every panel from there back.

I've hit deer straight on before with fuzzies, blood and pooh being the only consequences. I'd have to say I like scrubbing pooh off of the bumper then taking my truck in to the shop for a week for body work.

The idea of cleaning my alxes and diff are just plain stupid. There was enough mud on them that the pooh just blended in. Or so I assume. BTW, dont have that truck anymore.

ksaile
Yeah, it was a joke man. :hit: I don't exactly shine up my diffs either.

Chrome don't get ya home. :thumbsdow

NightRider
chrome dont get you home... but it might get you laid (my old man told me that)
