That's wilder then Vail's Saab cop cars.

A-Tech
what about all those old camaros and 5.0s that cops used to have

ksaile
The plains of eastern CO are still the hunting grounds for the LS1 camaros. Its just that the varied weather conditions that the mountains get, they need a vehicle that is fast and capable in all conditions. Good choice, just crazy to see a non domestic being used by state police. :wow:

A-Tech
would suck ass to see that thing and think its just a ricer with some graphics and some fake lights...

scubie02
Oh, thats just sooo...not right...

Understandable choice, though.

Nogaro Nitwit
It's a fake. It is not really used by the cops at all.

How you know?

I saw two Legacy Wagons with Charles County Maryland Police in them today.

ksaile
If it is a fake, its a good one. The first picture has the foothills from the west side of Denver in the background. The other shot looks like it has one of the state trooper camaros in the background. The color scheme and graphics on the car are correct too. Besides, why the hell would anyone take the time to make a fake photoshop of a state police car? Hmmm.

ksaile
I do think that it is wild though that they would keep the wing on there, seems a little wild for a police vehicle.

eric
The liscence plates don't match up. Plus the plate on the top on looks really fake.

FabUlous
if those are real i will not speed in denver..............

make me wanna join the force :tp:

Simple google search for Colorado State plates turned up this result:

http://www.mv.state.co.us/titlereg/registration/plates/statepatrol.GIF
http://www.mv.state.co.us/titlereg/registration/plates/statepatrol.GIF If you ask me the first three letters match up in the top one.. :P :sarah:

So if you use some basic knowledge CSP = Colorado State Patrol, however the 2nd picture does not contain CSP...
:sarah: :rb:

ksaile
Yeah, that second one looks like the standard Colorado passenger car plate. Hmmm. Good investigating. Now we need RB to help us wrap up this mystery.

Horus
I don't know, that's the kind of thing I'd have to see to really believe. That first license plate looks kinda fishy, then there's the second one...

It'd be awesome if it WERE real, though

M4A1Carbine
The Second one gives it away by a lot if you do some close looking.

This looks like the plate in the picture with a different number/letter combo

The one on the car doesn't have the emblem of the state patrol, but rather the one that looks like a normal plate. :sarah:

This car is real. I saw the unvailing of it. I didnt' get any pics, but I did see some on the internet. I'll try and find them. It is a real car. I think that they said that it might not be used though. Just sort of a test for now.

ksaile
That might make sense then. If it was only a test and they did a publicity photo shoot for it, then they might have stuck a state police plate on the front just for the photo's sake. Well if its true, it looks like the bad guys are gonna have to get Legacy STI's to keep ahead.

I think they'll catch more speeders with it. Like someone said earlier, it looks like a modded Subaru with some fake lights on it, I feel really sorry if the Colorado State Police do go through with it, and if someone gets pulled over by it :smileysex

ksaile
I've gotten pulled over by one of the camaros before. I can't remember if it had lights on the roof or not, I think it did, but I couldn't make them out in the mirror untill it was too late. 95mph in a 15 passenger van, loaded to the gills with people and gear on the roof. :slap: D'oh! I now look much closer.

SLP Addict

Rotary Boy

we also have a ton of LS1 camaro cops in unmarked cars. pretty tinted windows too, so you might not even notice if you were next to them.
