View Thread: New Chrysler 300C makes world debut in New York

kak
The new shape of Chrysler was unveiled today (16 April) in New York with the worldwide debut of the 300C concept vehicle. The car, revealed at the 2003 New York International Auto Show, features an entirely new shape based on Chrysler’s all-new rear-drive architecture. The striking concept saloon continues the Chrysler brand’s proud ‘letter series’ tradition - but in a thoroughly modern way. It has been nearly five decades since Chrysler first introduced its fabled ’letter series’ cars. The brand’s renowned line of Chrysler 300s started with the C-300 in 1955, and continued for 11 years.

looks a lot like a sedan version of the magnum wagon they showed earlier.

It looks like what you would get if you crossed a bently and a lincoln LS

ahahn
I like the way it looks.

Ok, did anyone link this to another site? We're getting a lot of guests here and its probably due to some hotlink.

mustangdriver
Damn! That thing looks pretty classy! Very Bentleyesque. I like.

eric rxb
It's gonna have a HEMI! and RWD. Too bad no 6speed. I guess that's what you get when you cohort with MB

Sia Bani
Thanks pd. KAk had orginally attached the image, but we got about 20+ guests viewing the image, so I figured somebody hotlinked it somewhere. It's supposed to show up as an x elsewhere, but I deleted it anyhow.

mustangdriver
gotcha, makes sense

Sia Bani
Actually, I found the source. WELCOME BRAMPTON ASSEMBLY members! A member there named SOUTH KNOXVILLE STRONGBOY posted a link to this thread at that site.

There are about 20 guests viewing this thread. They are legitimately on this site though. Sometimes it's a glitch when somebody posts/hotlinks an image from AWF to another site. This time its legit.

kak
I've updated the article with 26 new pictures of the Chrysler 300C!

If they changed the rear end a little, and added a six speed, I think they would make a killing in the US market. Anybody Got any ideas on the price?

mustangdriver
I think the rear is pretty clean. The 6-spd would be a nice addition to any car, no doubt. I was wondering the pricing myself. Looks expensive.

kak

What are you testing, Sia? :)

He's testing how long before someone asks a silly question.

No, I think the reason it doesn't have a manual transmission has something to do with the fact that it's a full-size car.

eric rxb
Why can't a full size car have a manual transmission?

scubie02
Wow, I like the look, but its certainly a design departure from what they've been doing the lasy few years. Kind of shocking or something. It actually looks very familiar to me, like some other brand'ss concepts for something or something...

I never thought that I would do such a success with an article about a Chrysler. Take a look at this "top list" at car.kak.net:
