View Thread: Ford Freestyle FX

Ford says a production version of the Freestyle FX concept will debut next year, and why not? Crossover vehicles are one of the fastest growing segments in the industry. Several of the concept's features should reach production, including its unibody construction, six-passenger capacity, all-wheel-drive layout, and fold-flat second- and third-row seats. The concept's trick sliding rear hatch, which transforms the Freestyle into a so-called "pickup," may not get the green light. The Freestyle concept is powered by Ford's 3.0-liter Duratec V-6, which is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Rounding out the package are 20-inch wheels with Goodyear run-flat tires, a DVD system, and an aluminum roof rack and skid plates.

Kinda cool. Sort of has a euro flair, a bit Audi looking in some ways.
