View Thread: explorer fuel filter

I'm having trouble disconnecting the hoses from my fuel filter on a 1998 ford explorer. Any suggestions???

What kind of trouble? Like they are stuck or ?

Please elaborate.

You need to have a special tool. It won't do it without it. Its like 3 bucks from auto zone. Its a clamp looking thing, and you put it around the line, and shove it in the direction of the fuel filter. It will release the clamp and the filter should pop off on one side. Do the same for the other side and your done. :)

Wow, TURBOZ just schooled everyone haha. Good job!
